We
use the term "SMS Phones" to mean handsets which display Text on their
screens and do not have a WAP, Web or "Wireless Web" (sm of SprintPCS)
browser. SMS (or Text Messaging) is supported by almost all mobile phones
sold in the last 6 years in Europe and Asia, and the last 3 or 4 years
in the USA. Important note... |

Most
phones sold in the last 2 years (in USA) and about 3 or 4 years (Europe
and Asia) display only black+white pictures when browsing Websites
for mobile phones. Many newer WAP phones have color screens or even cameras,
AND can show color Web pictures of certain sizes. The phones which support WAP 2.0
or XHTML generally support small color GIFS. Important note... Many popular phones which use a "WAP browser" are listed below: More info... |

Please
note: The person you want to send a black+white or color Greeting Card
just might not be able to receive it for about a million reasons, including:
they might have a capable phone, but are not subscribed to Web
or Data features, a technical error within the Carrier or SMSC
or GridBloc servers, "subscriber out of network" and many many more reasons
beyond our control. BUT our super special technology will do its best to determine the best image (B+W, small Color or Big Color) to send to their mobile phone! so choose whatever color or size you want and they will get the coolest Greeting they can. It is free (except airtime or data charges from your Carrier) fast and easy to try, so please do! |

GridBloc Greetings are, like most e-card systems, delivered as Clickable Links to the recipient. GridBloc Greetings have an advantage in being deliverable to mobilephone numbers and traditional email address. There are multiple capabilities of phones from no-picture support to black and white drawings and pictures to small (file-size) color pictures and drawings to large (file-size) richly colored photographs and illustrations. Until WAP-Push and MMS become wide-spread, easily or automatically configured and internationally inter-carrier inter-operable, GridBloc Greetings are delivered to mobilephones via SMS/Text Messages (supported by almost every phone sold in the last 3 or 4 years) with a clickable link. Simply then, if you have a mobilephone that supports Clickable-Links-in-SMS, you have a phone capable of receiving pictures in Gridbloc Greetings. Will it work for you and your friends? It is free (except airtime or data charges from your Carrier) fast and easy to try, so please do! |
